for entry into the National Defence Academy (NDA) and other defense services.

About Sainik Schools
Established in 1961, Sainik Schools are managed by the Sainik Schools Society
under the Ministry of Defence. There are 33 Sainik Schools across India,
each dedicated to preparing students for defense services and nation-building.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: 10-12 years for Class VI, 13-15 years for Class IX
Education: Must have passed previous class with minimum marks
Gender: Open for both boys and girls in selected schools

Sainik School Entrance Examination
AISSEE Exam Pattern
All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) conducted by NTA:
- Mathematics - 150 marks
- English - 100 marks
- General Knowledge - 50 marks
- Intelligence Test - 50 marks
- Total: 350 marks (Class VI)
Selection Process
Step 1: Clear AISSEE with minimum qualifying marks
Step 2: Document verification and e-counseling
Step 3: Medical fitness examination
Step 4: Final merit list and seat allotment
Reservation Policy
Seats are reserved for various categories as per government norms:
SC (15%), ST (7.5%), OBC (27%), and defense personnel quotas.
Some schools also have state-specific reservations.

CBSE Curriculum
Sainik Schools follow CBSE curriculum with emphasis on Science and Mathematics.
Regular academic assessments, remedial classes, and competitive exam
preparation are integral parts of the academic program.
Physical Training
Comprehensive physical development program including sports, athletics,
obstacle training, swimming, and martial arts. Daily physical training
and annual sports competitions are mandatory.
NCC & Leadership
NCC training is compulsory for all students. Leadership development
